Biking around Arlington

This weekend we kicked off our mountain biking season 2018, and what better place than a local park we have never been before. And within biking distance! The name of the area is Burlington Landlocked Forest, and surprisingly enough, you actually feel a bit away from civilization, despite the constant humming of I-95. someone was cheating her way around the mud;) don't like pictures;) neat little bridges through the swampy pieces better don't go in there Artax!

Skinning Mt Ellen

This weekend we decided to give a try to skinning. Fab was right on guessing I would love it. It is like hiking and the sliding movement reminded me of the elliptical machine I used to use when I was going to the gym. Word of advice, just go as far up as your level of skiing will leave you comfortable going down. I would have easily traded the way down for another 3 or 4 hours of skinning up.

About

Random adventures. Don’t expect regular updates, as we are often too lazy to document the things we do. Or there’s a pandemic and we don’t get to do many things. One of those. You can also check out our youtube channel.

Just because I couldn’t find an existing map like this. The NE4000s as per [http://4000footers.com/ne.shtml](http:// http://4000footers.com/ne.shtml) https://drive.google.com/open?id=1HNMwJfoPm0-JfGpB-EZ0JB61Gj4GkUk0&usp=sharing

Iceland — Day 4

On day 4 we started out visiting Geysir: After which we made our way north on F35 towards the Westfjords. We passed Gulfoss And made a stop in Hveravellir Heading further north we ended up at the campground in Skagaströnd. This was the days route:

Iceland — Day 3

After another nice night in our little camper van, we headed over to Sistrafoss. A short drive later we found ourselves amidst a sizeable crowd of tourists exploring Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon. After the slight disappointment on the previous day we decided to try our luck with F208 again and started crawling northbound. We were rewarded by a whole lot of amazing scenery. Unfortunately the pictures can merely convey an idea of the landscape.

Iceland — Day 2

We started the day out by taking another peak at Seljalandsfoss Checking out Skogafoss A quick hike to the Sólheimajökull glacier And Reynisfjara Beach Afterwards we wanted to make our way towards Landmannalaugar, unfortunately for that day F208 was closed between the ringroad and Landmannalaugar. So we tried to go a different way. We ended up having to turn around both on F233 and F210, but didn’t regret a single minute, as it was pretty awesome :) In the end we camped at Kirkjubær II

Iceland — Day 1

After arriving in Iceland in the early morning, we picked up our gocamper and headed into Reykjavik for some breakfast. ](P1010351.jpg) Stocking up on some provisions we headed out to drive along the coast to head west a little bit. We stopped a bunch of times of course: ](872A9070.jpg) ](872A9125.jpg) ](P1010396.jpg) ](872A9156.jpg) We ended up at the campsite next to Seljalandsfoss for our first night: ](P1010429.jpg) And actually got to see a little light show in the evening!

Kinsman revisited

Rember this old post? One of the things we did on the hike was to create a timelapse with the gopro.I don’t think we’re going to do that again because: with the low light in the woods, at least half of the pictures came out blurry :/ it’s a pain to deal with tens of thousands of picures Nevertheless, here’s a timelapse of the ascent: enjoy :)
