Mt Tremblant

This weekend we drove up to Mt Tremblant for some skiing. We seem to have developed a knack to hit up mountains on their peak tourist days, as apparently they hit 15k visitors on Saturday, which was described by one of the ski patrols as: definitely near all time record.

Cars on the lake!
Cute little touristy base
Having a break πŸ™‚
Moguls!
Top of the mountain

The lift lines were long, but we still found some nice open trails. Especially on Saturday there were some really beautiful moguly runs that we both enjoyed tremendously.

On Sunday we decided to skin up the North side, which was strenous but also quite rewarding:)

Skinning Mt Ellen

This weekend we decided to give a try to skinning. Fab was right on guessing I would love it. It is like hiking and the sliding movement reminded me of the elliptical machine I used to use when I was going to the gym. Word of advice, just go as far up as your level of skiing will leave you comfortable going down. I would have easily traded the way down for another 3 or 4 hours of skinning up. Fab enjoyed the way down way more than me. Maybe next time I will take my snowshoes or a butt slide πŸ˜‰
